Oito municípios brasileiros elegerão novos prefeitos, em pleitos suplementares, em 30 de outubro, mesmo dia do segundo turno da eleições para presidente e governadores. São três cidades do Rio Grande do Sul, duas de Pernambuco, uma de Santa Catarina, uma de São Paulo e uma de Rondônia.

Os municípios com eleição suplementar para prefeito são Cachoeirinha (RS), Cerro Grande (RS), Entre Rios do Sul (RS), Joaquim Nabuco (PE), Pesqueira (PE), Pinhalzinho (SP), Vilhena (RO) e Canoinhas (SC).

Em todas eles, os eleitores votarão para governador, presidente e prefeito, nessa ordem.

As eleições suplementares foram convocadas nesses municípios porque os prefeitos eleitos em 2020 tiveram o mandato ou o registro cassados pela Justiça Eleitoral. Os eleitos no dia 30 de outubro ficarão a frente das prefeituras até 31 de dezembro de 2024.

Assim como aconteceu no primeiro turno das eleições gerais, no segundo turno a hora de votação será unificada, o que significa que a votação ocorrerá das 8h às 17h pelo horário de Brasília em todos os municípios do país.

Mesmo eleitores que não votaram no primeiro turno poderão comparecer às urnas no dia 30 de outubro e registrar seus votos.
